Two Window Cleaners Hurt in Philippines

Two window cleaners were injured yesterday in Philippines after strong wind hit the gondola they used to clean the windows on the 40th floor.

Fortunately, the two men are fine. They were taken to the nearest hospital in Makati for treatment. The police announced the identity of the cleaners. They are Roberto Rendon and Victoriano Nietes. The accident happened yesterday at 10:15 am while Rendon and Nietes were cleaning the windows of the 46- floor RCBC Plaza. They were washing the 40th floor when strong winds hit the gondola they were in.

The reflective glass of the building didn’t break, which prevented some more serious injuries. The cleaners were also lucky that the gondola didn’t break and didn’t fall down.

Last year ten workers were killed after such a gondola fell from the 28th floor because of overloading.
